Date: Friday, November 6, 2026 1:00-3:45 pm (workshop session 2)

Description: In this workshop we will examine current and projected workforce demands and career pathways that are enhanced through multilingualism. After reviewing examples of career-connected curriculum, we will work collaboratively to brainstorm and develop ready to use activities for your classroom, keeping in mind Tennessee’s regional context(s), and how we might motivate students at all language levels. We will share resources and ways to connect with other educators who are innovating their world language curriculum and providing students with engaged learning and the skills they can use for a lifetime. Participants will leave with new perspectives of how their curriculum can be a gateway to the evolving labor market while still promoting the traditional humanistic value of language learning.
