Aliene Click
"The first and most beneficial student teaching experience I had was with Ms. Click, and I am still grateful for her wisdom. She was a veteran teacher in 2008 and she still had a passion for the language and for her students. The most important lesson I learned from observing her and teaching under her was that you never need to raise your voice to maintain control of a classroom. I never saw her angry and she never yelled; yet her students were always tuned into what she had to say. I attribute that to her ability to engage students and make them feel successful in Spanish. When mentoring me, she always found the positive in my teaching and she built my confidence when I really needed that foundation. I don’t know if I realized it at the time, but I was privileged to see and learn from a stellar teacher who truly loved her job. I hope she knows how thankful I am now."
